This post is in partnership with World Port Seafood®. All opinions are 100% my own.

This easy recipe uses three of my favorite ingredients; honey + garlic + shrimp. When they are combined, they make for a very delicious meal. This time, I made my recipe with Argentinian Red Shrimp which was part of my delivery from World Port Seafood. They are a new branch of home food delivery from Omaha Steaks ®. If you have ever enjoyed their premium steaks, then you already know the quality is top notch.

One of the challenges of being an empty nester is cooking healthy food for one or two people. Both my husband and I love seafood, but several times we have purchased it fresh only to have our schedules change and then not be able to cook it and enjoy it. I was more regimented when the kids were younger and we had family dinners every night.

But I don’t think the challenge is unique to us. Just this week, my newly married daughter mentioned that she had to throw away some fresh seafood she bought because she and her husband ended up working late several nights in a row and did not get around to cooking it. Life happens and it is such a shame to have to throw away food.

One of the great benefits of ordering from World Port Seafood is that their products are frozen and individually vacuum-sealed. You select only the amount of fish you want to eat, leaving the rest safely frozen to enjoy at another meal.

Hand-selected, flash- frozen fresh seafood, locks in the freshest flavor and then is delivered straight to your door is convenient and allows year-round availability of your favorite seafood. If you compare this to the fish for sale in the supermarket, thawing out while in the display case, you can appreciate the difference.

I was sent the Eat More Seafood Combo which contains 7 items:

  • Tortilla-Crusted Tilapia Fillets – 1 (2.5 lb.) pkg.  |  6 pieces.
  • Wild Argentinian Red Shrimp – 16 oz. pkg.  |  1 pkg.
  • Stuffed Sole with Scallops and Crabmeat – 4.5 oz.  |  4 count
  • Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo – 1 (20 oz.) pkg.  |  serves 2

The Argentinian Red Shrimp are uncooked come in a resealable package so you can out what you need and zip it back up.

Here is my Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe. It took only about 15-20 minutes to have this on the table!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
2 teaspoons oil
1 lb, 16 ozs, Argentinian Red Shrimp, uncooked and frozen
2 cups white rice,

Add honey to the bowl.

Tip-  I always spray my measuring cup (plastic or metal) with cooking spray before adding honey. It almost comes out completely clean.

Add in soy sauce, garlic and ginger and mix well.

I use my world’s smallest grater to add the fresh ginger. Did you know that you can freeze ginger if you have leftovers?

Add shrimp to pan with hot oil. Cover and cook on one side for two minutes.

Flip and stir in the reserved sauce.
Cover and cook shrimp for 4 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until cooked through.

Serve shrimp over a bed of hot rice with a vegetable.
